Online Leibniz Project

A searchable online edition of the correspondence and philosophical writings of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, transcribed from the Akademie editions.

Use Browse to explore the volumes by series, or read individual letters and pieces with their original line numbering and rendered mathematical notation. The text can be translated using in-browser translation tools. It should be noted that Firefox contains no model for Latin, so Chrome or Edge are recommended if one wants to translate from Latin.

Getting started

• Browse the volumes — entries grouped by series (Akademie editions II and VI).
• Each entry preserves the source page and line numbers (e.g. [[5.13]]) for citation.
• Mathematical notation is rendered inline.
